Al-Mustaqbal University (UOMUS) has achieved a remarkable milestone in the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP) 2025, advancing to the 1676th position globally, climbing 639 ranks compared to the previous year. The university ranked first among all private universities and colleges in Iraq and secured the fourth position nationally, following the University of Baghdad, University of Technology, and Salahaddin University. This progress reflects the university’s excellence in academic and research performance. In a statement to the university’s media, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, highlighted that this advancement demonstrates the university’s efforts in promoting scientific research, encouraging international publications, and supporting faculty members and researchers. He noted that the URAP ranking is one of the important global rankings that focuses on the quality and international impact of research output. Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi also explained that the URAP ranking criteria include research quality and volume, citation count, research impact, and international research collaboration.
