Prof. Dr. Nidhal Khdhair Al-Abbadi, Director of the Al-Mustaqbal Center for AI Applications at Al-Mustaqbal University, has co-authored a scientific research paper published in the International Journal of Intelligent Engineering & Systems, a reputable international peer-reviewed journal. The paper, titled: "Texture Classification Using Modified Local Binary Pattern with Singular Value Decomposition and Wavelet Scattering", was co-authored with researcher Ghaith H. Alashour from the University of Kufa. The study presents an innovative hybrid method for texture image classification, combining Modified Local Binary Patterns (LBP), Singular Value Decomposition (SVD), and Wavelet Scattering. This approach significantly enhances classification performance under varying environmental and real-world conditions. The proposed method was tested on six benchmark datasets and demonstrated superior accuracy compared to existing techniques, making a strong contribution to advancements in computer vision and AI-based image analysis.
