As part of its continuous efforts toward global engagement, AL-Mustaqbal University took part in the 10th Annual Eurasia Higher Education Summit (EURIE 2025), held in Istanbul from April 8 to 10, 2025. The university was represented by a high-level delegation led by Professor Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, University President, along with Professor Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Samir Ibrahim, Director of International Relations. The summit officially opened at Istanbul’s main conference hall, with wide participation from both governmental and academic sectors. The opening remarks were delivered by the Turkish Minister of Higher Education and the Minister of Economy, alongside prominent international figures, including representatives from the United States, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, and Uzbekistan. Distinguished attendees also included the Executive Director of NAFSA: Association of International Educators, the Director of the British Council, and presidents and representatives of academic institutions from around the world. AL-Mustaqbal University’s booth, featured as part of the academic exhibition held alongside the summit, attracted significant interest and engagement from academic delegations and visitors—particularly from Malaysian, Romanian, and Turkish universities. The exhibition was honored by official visits from the Turkish Minister of Economy, the Malaysian Minister of Education, and Professor Mustafa Aydin, President of Istanbul Aydın University, all of whom commended the university’s efforts in enhancing its academic programs and expanding its global presence. In a statement to the university’s media office, Professor Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi noted that the university’s delegation held a series of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the summit with representatives of universities and academic institutions from several countries. These meetings aimed to explore opportunities for academic collaboration and to sign memoranda of understanding concerning student exchange programs, joint curriculum development, and the expansion of partnerships in scientific research and innovation. He further emphasized that the university’s participation aligns with its strategic vision to strengthen international academic relations and engage with advanced educational systems—reflecting its commitment to excellence and leadership both regionally and globally.
