In a warm and academically vibrant atmosphere, Al-Mustaqbal University welcomed its first international delegation today, marking the beginning of the 3rd edition of the International Future Week for Sustainability Festival 2025, which is set to officially launch tomorrow, Wednesday, April 16, and continue through April 24. Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, personally received the delegation from Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University in Turkey, which included Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet (University President), Prof. Dr. Mehmet KILIC (Vice President), Leyla AKBULUT (Head of the Department of Energy Management & Sustainability), and Prof. Dr. Atilgan. A number of senior academic and administrative figures from Al-Mustaqbal University were also present at the reception. During the visit, a formal discussion session was held between the two universities. Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi expressed the university’s interest in activating the Memorandum of Understanding previously signed with Alanya Alaaddin University and expanding areas of collaboration—particularly in sustainability, scientific research, and academic exchange. Prof. Dr. Muzafar Sadiq Al-Zuheiri, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, delivered a detailed presentation about the university's structure, academic achievements, and pioneering initiatives supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He also proposed practical ideas to deepen bilateral cooperation between the two institutions. On his part, Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet commended Al-Mustaqbal University’s remarkable academic and administrative standards, praising its modern infrastructure and expressing admiration for the university’s potential to occupy a prominent position among international institutions.
