In a new step towards expanding international collaboration and fostering academic openness with reputable global institutions, AL-Mustaqbal University welcomed a high-level delegation from Vali-e-Asr University in Rafsanjan, Iran. The visit culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at promoting mutual scientific and cultural cooperation. This initiative aligns with the vision of AL-Mustaqbal University, led by Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, to globalize the Iraqi academic experience. It also reflects the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s strategic direction to establish impactful partnerships that enhance the global standing of Iraqi universities. The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi on behalf of AL-Mustaqbal University, and by Prof. Dr. Reza Ranjbar Karimi, President of Vali-e-Asr University, in the presence of deans and senior officials from both institutions. The agreement covers several key areas of collaboration, including joint scientific research projects, co-hosting of academic conferences and specialized workshops, and exchange visits for faculty and students, in addition to hosting visiting professors. The memorandum also opens pathways for collaboration in entrepreneurship, sustainable development, and capacity-building programs for academic and technical staff, as well as summer training programs for students. This agreement forms part of AL-Mustaqbal University’s broader strategy to enhance the higher education ecosystem through meaningful partnerships and to benefit from the successful experiences of regional universities—particularly Vali-e-Asr University’s achievements in promoting entrepreneurship and sustainable development practices. Notably, the visiting delegation also participated in the Second International Conference on Health Sciences and Technologies, held as part of the 3rd International AL-Mustaqbal Sustainability Week 2025, giving them an opportunity to witness firsthand the academic and technological capabilities that distinguish AL-Mustaqbal University.
