Under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and under the supervision of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, Al-Mustaqbal University held a celebration for World Intellectual Property Day. The event was attended by representatives from government ministries, private sector institutions, over forty inventors and innovators, and a wide range of faculty members and researchers. The event began with an opening speech by Prof. Dr. Muzhfer Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, representing the university administration. During his speech, he announced the launch of "The Intellectual Property Policy Document of Al-Mustaqbal University," a pioneering step to foster an innovative environment and protect the rights of students, researchers, and faculty members. The event featured a documentary film showcasing the university's achievements, followed by a detailed presentation of the policy document by Dr. Samir Ibrahim Badrawi. The event also included presentations from Dr. Mahdi Dhamad Al-Qaisi from the Ministry of Agriculture and Mr. Ahmed Magdi Khalil from the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, along with a paper presented by Eng. Teresa Jassim Rida, President of the Iraqi Inventors and Innovators Association. The celebration concluded with the reading of recommendations, the distribution of certificates of appreciation to participants and supporters, and the opening of a special intellectual property exhibition and bazaar, displaying patent models and innovative projects. Al-Mustaqbal University reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, encouraging students and researchers to produce knowledge and apply it for the benefit of society and the national economy.
