As part of its commitment to promoting sustainability culture, Al-Mustaqbal University has announced the launch of the "Al-Mustaqbal Club for Books and Children's Literature for a Sustainable Life", an initiative designed to instill environmental and social awareness in future generations through literature and arts. This initiative is part of the ongoing "Third International Week of Al-Mustaqbal for Sustainability" hosted at the university, reinforcing its dedication to embedding sustainability concepts at an early age, thereby contributing to the development of an environmentally and socially conscious community. The Al-Mustaqbal Club for Books and Children's Literature aims to provide an interactive and creative environment for children and young people, encouraging them to read, explore, and learn about sustainability issues through stories, books, and various literary and artistic activities. The club seeks to develop critical and creative thinking skills in children, motivating them to take effective steps toward building a sustainable future. The club's activities include: Storytelling Sessions: Covering sustainability and environmental protection topics in an engaging way appropriate for children. Creative Workshops: Including art and writing activities inspired by sustainability stories, such as drawing, coloring, writing short stories, and poetry. Meetings with Writers and Children's Literature Experts: Hosting inspiring figures to share their experiences and works with children. Cultural and Literary Competitions: Encouraging children to read, write, and express their views on sustainability issues. Interactive Events: Such as puppet shows and small plays carrying sustainability messages. Field Visits: To parks, nature reserves, and sustainable projects to enhance practical learning and provide real-life experiences. The organizers of the Al-Mustaqbal Club for Books emphasized that this initiative stems from their belief that fostering sustainability awareness begins in childhood. Literature and art have the power to shape children's environmental and social consciousness, promoting positive behaviors toward the environment and society. The club invites children, young people, parents, and those interested in children's literature to join its activities and contribute to building a generation that is aware, responsible, and capable of achieving sustainable development. Al-Mustaqbal University is the top among private universities in Iraq.
