Al-Mustaqbal University Concludes Its 3rd International Sustainability Week Festival with Remarkable Achievements and Global Partnerships
Al-Mustaqbal University successfully concluded its 3rd International Sustainability Week Festival, a week-long event rich with scientific, cultural, and societal activities. The closing day featured a special tour by the University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, who visited the Innovation and Sustainability Exhibitions. He praised the outstanding contributions of the participants and commended their efforts in translating sustainability into tangible innovations. The exhibits showcased a variety of scientific and technical projects, presented by students and researchers, with detailed explanations provided on their mechanisms and real-world applications. In his concluding remarks, the President extended heartfelt thanks to all academics, researchers, and students, applauding the high quality of outcomes that reflect the university's academic and research excellence. Festival Highlights: Showcasing over 300 innovative projects in renewable energy, agriculture, artificial intelligence, robotics, and heritage. Hosting three international conferences focusing on Education (SDG 4), Medical Technologies (SDG 3), and Poverty Reduction (SDG 1 & 2). Organizing multiple scientific forums, including the 4th Media Forum and Biomedical Engineering Forum with international participation. Conducting specialized workshops and seminars on sustainability-related topics. Signing cooperation agreements with global institutions aligned with SDG 17. Equestrian shows and nature reserve visits promoting awareness of climate change (SDG 13). Legal and social tents and activities supporting governance and peace goals (SDG 16). Free medical tents supporting public health and community care (SDG 3). Bazaars and service platforms supporting decent work and innovation (SDG 8 & 9). Final Recommendations: Strengthening research collaboration between academia and industry. Supporting promising projects with necessary resources. Holding the festival on an annual basis. Expanding international participation in future editions.
