In a distinguished academic atmosphere, and upon the kind invitation of Professor Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the university hosted a high-profile official and academic gathering. The event coincided with the visit of Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and his deputy, Professor Dr. Tarek Mostafa Ghalloush, marking the first visit of its kind to Iraq. The gathering was attended by Mr. Adnan Fayhan Al-Dulaimi, Governor of Babylon, Mr. Asaad Al-Muslimawi, Chairman of the Provincial Council, Professor Dr. Amin Al-Yasiri, President of the University of Babylon, and Professor Dr. Hasan Al-Awadi, President of Al-Qasim Green University, along with several vice presidents, deans, and government officials. In his remarks, the Governor of Babylon expressed his gratitude to President Majdi for organizing this significant event, noting that Al-Mustaqbal University has become a distinguished academic model not only at the level of Babylon Province but also nationally and internationally. He highlighted the university’s notable achievements and pioneering initiatives, including its advanced partnership with Mansoura University, which he described as a source of pride. Presidents of Babylon University and Al-Qasim Green University also praised Al-Mustaqbal University for its role in fostering academic collaboration. They affirmed their eagerness to cooperate with Mansoura University in mutually beneficial academic and research fields, aiming to enhance the quality of higher education and open new horizons for joint scientific research. For his part, Professor Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi expressed his deep appreciation to the Governor of Babylon, the university presidents, vice presidents, and academic delegations in attendance. He reaffirmed Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to openness and cooperation with local and international academic institutions and its dedication to advancing higher education in Iraq.
