As part of its ongoing efforts toward internationalization and academic openness, Al-Mustaqbal University welcomed a high-level delegation from Mansoura University, Egypt. The delegation was headed by Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, accompanied by Professor Dr. Tarek Mostafa Ghalloush, Scientific Assistant to the University President. The reception was attended by Professor Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, alongside members of the University Council, deans, and heads of academic and administrative departments. Following a brief welcoming reception, a joint meeting was held and opened with a speech by Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, who expressed his delight at the visit, emphasizing the strong historical and fraternal ties between Iraq and Egypt. He highlighted that the visit represents a significant step toward activating the provisions of the previously signed memorandum of understanding between the two institutions, covering several areas of mutual interest in higher education and scientific research. In response, Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater extended his gratitude for the warm hospitality, affirming Mansoura University’s readiness to strengthen and expand avenues of academic cooperation. The meeting agenda included the screening of an introductory documentary on Mansoura University, followed by a presentation showcasing key milestones and scientific achievements of Al-Mustaqbal University. Discussions between the two sides covered several strategic topics, including: • Mechanisms for activating the memorandums of understanding between both universities. • Proposals for hosting specialized postgraduate programs from Mansoura University. • Professional training and capacity-building programs in collaboration with Al-Mustaqbal’s Continuing Education Center. • Collaboration between peer research centers and the exchange of expertise in quality assurance, institutional and programmatic accreditation. • Joint efforts in global university rankings, academic reputation, and participation in editorial boards of scientific journals. • Coordinated initiatives aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed on a set of key decisions aimed at achieving shared objectives and opening new horizons for academic cooperation between the two institutions.
