Summer Training Program Launched for Engineering Students at Al-Mustaqbal University s AI Center

Under the generous patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and in direct collaboration with the Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, the Summer Training Program officially commenced on Saturday, June 14, 2025, for students of engineering and technological disciplines. The program is supervised and implemented by the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications, and held at the Continuing Education Center – Al-Qāḍiya, with strong and enthusiastic participation from students from the very first day. The opening day witnessed the presence of distinguished academic and administrative figures, including: 🔹 Prof. Dr. Muzafar Al-Zuhairi / Supervisor of Academic Scientific Affairs at Al-Mustaqbal University 🔹 Dr. Rida Abdul-Aty Al-Fishawi / Director of the Continuing Education Center 🔹 Mr. Abd Ali Dakhel Jasem / Assistant Director of the Continuing Education Center 🔹 Prof. Dr. Nidhal Khdhair Al-Abbadi / Director of the Al-Mustaqbal Center for AI Applications 🔹 Eng. Mohammed Saad Abis 🔹 Programmer Ms. Sarah Sadoon Abbas In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Muzafar Al-Zuhairi expressed his delight in launching this training initiative, which reflects the university’s commitment to enhancing students’ capabilities in their fields of study and connecting them with modern technological trends. He emphasized that such experiences play a crucial role in preparing skilled graduates capable of keeping pace with the evolving digital landscape and labor market demands. This year’s summer training program aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically: Goal 4: Quality Education Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals This initiative represents a significant step toward empowering students with digital and research skills through practical, hands-on training delivered by experts and professionals from the Center.
