Al-Mustaqbal University Holds a Flutter Workshop on Building a Scientific Calculator as Part of the Summer Program
As part of the ongoing summer training program for students of the Colleges of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, and under the generous patronage of Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, a specialized workshop was held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, under the direct supervision of the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications and in cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education, titled: "Building a Scientific Calculator Using Flutter," delivered by programmer Sarah Sadoon Abbas, a member of the AI Center team. The workshop focused on enhancing students’ programming skills in mobile application development using the Flutter framework. Participants learned how to build an interactive user interface for a scientific calculator app, manage application states using StatefulWidget, and implement various mathematical operations. In addition, best practices for building scalable and maintainable Flutter apps were discussed. Students were given the opportunity to develop a functional project that bridges theoretical knowledge with practical design and logic implementation.
