In line with Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision of expanding its international partnerships and strengthening its global presence—and in harmony with the initiative of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research to internationalize higher education in Iraq—Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of the University, held a round of discussions via video conference with Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) in Malaysia. The discussions focused on ways to develop academic and scientific cooperation between the two institutions, particularly in areas of mutual interest within technology and engineering. The aim is to support the university’s path toward globalization and promote the exchange of expertise with distinguished institutions. From Al-Mustaqbal University, the meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision; Asst. Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies; along with several department heads and specialists. Representing UTP was Prof. Dr. Hilmi Mokhtar, Vice President for Academic Affairs. This meeting reaffirms Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to building strategic partnerships with prestigious higher education institutions worldwide, thereby enhancing its academic and research standing and preparing graduates capable of competing both regionally and internationally.
