The Eurasian Universities Union (EURAS) has launched the NextGen Student platform, bringing together students from member universities to enhance youth engagement in academic, cultural, social, and athletic activities, while contributing to sustainability, peace, and global prosperity. The platform includes representatives from around 150 universities, with each institution nominating one male and one female student to its General Assembly. In addition, 12 members are elected to serve on the Executive Board. From Al-Mustaqbal University, Qasim Mohammed Jasim, a student in the Department of Computer Technologies at the College of Engineering, was elected as a Board Member, assuming responsibility for public relations and IT management. This achievement reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s active role within EURAS, as its President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, currently serves on the Union’s Board of Directors. The university’s engagement further demonstrates its commitment to strengthening international partnerships and advancing Sustainable Development Goal 17 (SDG 17): Partnerships for the Goals. In preparation for the upcoming Sustainability Ambassadors Camp scheduled for early October at the Babylon Tourist Resort, Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuheiri, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, met with Qasim Mohammed Jasim to explore opportunities for organizing special activities under the platform. The meeting aimed to amplify the voices of Al-Mustaqbal students within the local community as well as across national and international academic circles. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Sameer Badrawi, Director of Cultural Relations at the University Presidency.
