The Women’s Affairs Division at Future University organized a workshop titled “The Importance of Women’s Role in Political Legislation”, under the supervision of the Women’s Affairs Unit in the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, Fuel and Energy Technologies Department, on Monday, March 10, 2025. This workshop was conducted as part of the Third National Plan for Women, Peace, and Security, focusing on the pillar of participation and institutional reform, clause 2. It was supervised by Professor Dr. Sahira Qahtan Abdul-Jabbar, Head of the Women’s Affairs Division, and led by Assistant Lecturer Zahraa Salah Hadi. The workshop addressed women’s rights and their significance in strengthening their role in decision-making, ensuring fair leadership representation for women, and improving the quality of laws and legislation. It featured visual materials illustrating these rights, along with real-life examples that were discussed interactively with students using the brainstorming technique, allowing them to engage in dialogue and discussion. The workshop emphasized the importance of supporting women and enhancing their vital role in society, highlighting the impact of psychological and social support in helping them strengthen their political identity and achieve self-actualization.
