Awareness Dialogue Workshop Titled “Protecting Women in Times of Armed Conflicts”
Al-Mustaqbal University (Women’s Affairs Division) Organizes an Awareness Dialogue Workshop in Cooperation with the College of Law The Women’s Affairs Division at Al-Mustaqbal University, in collaboration with the College of Law, organized an awareness dialogue workshop titled “Protecting Women in Times of Armed Conflicts” on March 19, 2025. The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Saad Ubaid and supervised by Ms. Zainab Khalid, head of the unit at the college, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Sahira Qahtan Abdul-Jabbar, Head of the Women’s Affairs Division. This initiative aligns with the implementation of the Participation and Institutional Reform Pillar (Paragraph 7). The workshop aimed to raise awareness about protecting women from enslavement, violations, and torture during wars, ensuring their basic needs such as food, water, healthcare, and shelter. It also focused on providing psychological and social support to help women recover, reintegrate into society, and empower them to participate in reconstruction and peace processes, reinforcing their role in shaping the future. By addressing these critical issues, the workshop sought to safeguard women’s dignity and rights, even in the most challenging circumstances.
