Educational Seminar Titled “Fundamental Principles of Statistics”
Al-Mustaqbal University (Women’s Affairs Division) Organizes an Educational Seminar on “Fundamental Principles of Statistics” in Collaboration with the College of Nursing As part of the implementation of the Participation and Institutional Reform Pillar (Paragraph 7), the Women’s Affairs Division at Al-Mustaqbal University, in collaboration with the College of Nursing, organized an educational seminar titled “Fundamental Principles of Statistics” on February 22, 2025. The seminar was delivered by Dr. Mahdi Hamza Mandhur Al-Taie and supervised by Ms. Noor Fadel, Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit in the department. The seminar explored the role of statistics in scientific research, emphasizing its importance as a fundamental pillar across various fields. It highlighted that statistics is an essential tool in almost every intellectual and practical domain, particularly in the health sector. The discussion covered key topics such as the definition of statistics, its types, its significance in healthcare, and the process of creating a simple frequency distribution table. A major focus of the workshop was the importance of integrating women into the field of health statistics, which was previously dominated by men. The event served as a powerful message about the need to empower women in scientific fields, showcasing their ability to influence, innovate, and contribute to academia and professional research. This initiative strengthens women’s role in the academic and scientific community, reinforcing their presence in a rapidly evolving world
