The Women’s Affairs Division at Al-Mustaqbal University, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a cultural dialogue workshop on the Pomodoro Technique aimed at improving work quality and increasing productivity—whether in study, work, or other activities—as well as exploring methods to reduce ineffective studying and enhance the quality of teaching and learning. The workshop was held on May 14, 2025. Prof. Dr. Sahira Qahtan Abdul Jabbar, Head of the Women’s Affairs Division, spoke about the Pomodoro Technique and its application in selecting a specific task followed by short breaks. Asst. Prof. Dr. Reda Al-Fishawi, Head of the Continuing Education Center, addressed the issue of distraction caused by mobile phone use and social media, as well as the effects of boredom, fatigue, exhaustion, insufficient sleep, and the failure to choose an appropriate environment for studying or working. This workshop was held within the framework of Pillar One and Pillar Eight of the Iraqi National Strategy for Women, focusing on participation and institutional reform. At the end of the workshop, a number of distinguished and actively participating students were honored for their outstanding academic and cultural performance.
