Al-Mustaqbal University Conducts an Advanced Workshop on Designing a Scientific Calculator Using Flutter
As part of its comprehensive summer training program for students of the Colleges of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, and under the esteemed patronage of Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, a hands-on workshop was held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, under the supervision of the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications, in cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education, titled: "Designing a Scientific Calculator Using Flutter," delivered by programmer Sarah Sadoon Abbas, a member of the AI Center team. The session aimed to equip students with practical skills in mobile app development through the Flutter framework. Participants worked on building a fully functional scientific calculator, focusing on designing dynamic user interfaces, integrating advanced mathematical operations, and managing user interaction using Stateful Widgets. The workshop also covered best practices in clean code architecture, widget reusability, and scalable app design—allowing students to bridge theory with real-world development in an engaging learning environment.
