Al-Mustaqbal University held an expanded coordination meeting chaired by its President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi. The meeting was dedicated to reviewing the current state of scientific and academic performance and discussing ways to enhance it in alignment with the university’s strategic objectives and future plans The University President opened the meeting by extending his congratulations to the university community—faculty members, staff, and students—on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. He emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts during the upcoming phase to maintain the level of achievement attained and to work collectively in a spirit of teamwork to advance institutional performance. He also stressed that development is a shared responsibility that requires integration among all administrative and academic units of the university The meeting included a comprehensive review of scientific and academic performance indicators, during which several key themes were discussed, including quality of education, curriculum development, enhancement of scientific research, as well as follow-up on the implementation plans set for the current academic semester For his part, the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, delivered a detailed presentation on the conferences and scientific events scheduled to be organized in the coming period. He addressed the organizational, scientific, and logistical requirements necessary to ensure their success and achieve their research and academic objectives, thereby contributing to strengthening the university’s academic reputation The meeting also witnessed active participation from the Scientific Affairs Department, which reviewed its plans to support research activities, organize specialized seminars and workshops, follow up on graduation projects and postgraduate studies, and develop mechanisms for documenting scholarly outputs and enhancing research databases in line with quality assurance and academic accreditation standards Participants also discussed cultural relations activities and academic openness initiatives, particularly those related to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s initiative on the internationalization of higher education in Iraq. The attendees emphasized the importance of expanding international cooperation and establishing academic partnerships that enhance the university’s presence at both national and regional levels The meeting concluded with a set of recommendations emphasizing the necessity of continuous performance monitoring, strengthening coordination among colleges and academic departments, and adhering to clear timelines to ensure the achievement of the university’s goals in academic and research excellence
