An awareness campaign titled "Smoking Silently Steals Your Life... For a Clean Future"

Under the patronage of the respected President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and in cooperation with the College of Education, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Roudhan Salman, the esteemed Dean of the College, and with the follow-up of the Women’s Affairs Division, an awareness campaign was held entitled: Smoking Silently Steals Your Life… For a Pure Future – A Smoke-Free University.” The campaign aimed to promote health and environmental awareness among students and to spread the culture of sustainability and a university life free from harmful behaviors. The campaign was carried out with the wide participation of the Sustainability Ambassadors in the college, the heads of departments, and faculty members from all colleges, who affirmed their support for such meaningful initiatives that strive to create a healthy, smoke-free university environment and enhance awareness of the importance of positive behaviors among students. The campaign activities included the distributing of awareness brochures and educational presentations highlighting the health, social, and economic harms of smoking, as well as calls to adopt healthy and responsible lifestyles that contribute to building an environmentally clean university campus. In his speech, the Dean of the College emphasized that these initiatives represent part of the university’s overall direction toward promoting the values of awareness and social responsibility, noting that spreading the culture of quitting smoking is an important step toward a cleaner and healthier university environment. This campaign came within the framework of implementing the National Strategic Plan for Iraqi Women – Participation and Institutional Reform, Clause Five, dated October 14, 2025.
