Participation of the Scientific Affairs Department Members at Al-Mustaqbal University in the EURAS Online Series on Higher Education Internationalization Professor Tariq Jawad Kazem, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department at Al-Mustaqbal University, and Mr. Ali Abbas Abdul-Hussein, Director of the International Rankings Unit at Al-Mustaqbal University, participated in the online seminar organized by the Eurasian Universities Union (EURAS) as part of its ongoing series on higher education. The session was titled “Rethinking Internationalization in Higher Education: Lessons from Global Crises and Emerging Trends,” and was held on 19 November 2025 at 11:00 AM Baghdad time. The seminar discussed the impact of recent global crises—including the COVID-19 pandemic, geopolitical tensions, economic fluctuations, and rapid technological advancements—on the higher education sector. It highlighted how these developments have prompted academic institutions to reassess traditional internationalization models and adopt more flexible, digital, inclusive, and strategically oriented approaches. A distinguished group of international leaders and experts in higher education took part in the session, including: Prof. Mustafa Aydın – President of EURAS and EURIE, and President of Istanbul Aydın University. Prof. Philip G.
