Under the patronage of the respected President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Women’s Affairs Division, in cooperation with the College of Health and Medical Technologies, held an awareness workshop titled: “Enhancing Awareness on the Dangers of Irrational Use of Antibiotics and Its Increasing Impact on Public Health.” This activity comes within the framework of implementing the Third National Action Plan for Women, Peace, and Security – Protection and Prevention Pillar / Clause Three, and in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being). It was also held as part of the Global Antibiotic Awareness Week activities for the period 14–28 November. The workshop program included a comprehensive scientific session that addressed: • An introduction to the concept of antibiotics and their types. • The importance of adhering to the proper use of antibiotics in accordance with medical guidelines. • The role of individuals, educational institutions, and health institutions in raising awareness among students and the community about the risks of the random use of these medications. The lecturer also emphasized the severity of antibiotic resistance, describing it as one of the greatest health challenges of the 21st century. The activity concluded with recommendations stressing the need to promote a culture of rational antibiotic use in support of national and global efforts to confront this growing health threat.
