Al-Mustaqbal University Organizes a Seminar on Gender Discrimination in Society and the Labor Market The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Engineering at Al-Mustaqbal University, under the supervision of the Women’s Affairs Division and in collaboration with the Women’s Affairs representatives from the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Industries Engineering, conducted an awareness wokshop titled: “Gender Discrimination in Society and the Labor Market.” This workshop was held in compliance with the Third National Plan for Women, Peace, and Security – Protection and Prevention Pillar (2025), specifically Paragraph Five, which addresses negative phenomena that may affect women. The workshop included the following key topics: • Understanding the concept of gender discrimination and its various forms in society and the labor market. • The impact of discrimination on women from social, economic, and professional perspectives. • National and international laws and policies related to women’s rights and equal opportunities. • Strategies to promote gender equality within the workplace and the university environment. • The importance of awareness and creating a supportive environment that ensures equal opportunities for all individuals. Participants expressed their positive engagement with the initiative, emphasizing the importance of continuing such activities that contribute to promoting women’s rights and fostering a fair and equitable environment.
