Awareness Campaign for Female Patients on the Harms of Drugs and Their Health Impact In implementation of the Third National Plan for Women, Security, and Peace / Protection and Prevention Pillar for 2025, and within Paragraph Two regarding the importance of women’s health awareness and promoting behaviors aligned with a healthy lifestyle, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Engineering, in collaboration with the Women’s Affairs Division and the Department of Biomedical Engineering, organized an awareness campaign titled: “The Harms of Drugs: Health Awareness for Women”, targeting female patients at Al-Imam Al-Sadiq Hospital. The campaign featured an interactive and educational awareness program, informing participants about the dangers of improper drug use and its effects on women’s general and reproductive health. It also provided practical guidance on the safe use of medications, methods for preventing drug misuse, and the importance of adhering to medical instructions to avoid health complications. The organizers emphasized the importance of raising women’s awareness about the risks of drug misuse, equipping them with the knowledge needed to protect their own health and the health of their families, and encouraging them to make informed and healthy decisions. This activity is part of the Biomedical Engineering Department’s ongoing efforts to enhance the role of women in the healthcare field and to promote health awareness among female patients in accordance with public health and safety standards.
