Al-Mustaqbal University has announced a new achievement in the 2025 UI GreenMetric World University Rankings. The University’s President, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, confirmed that the university has continued its excellence for the sixth consecutive year, maintaining its position as the top private university in Iraq, in addition to securing third place nationally among 87 Iraqi educational institutions participating in the ranking The president explained that this national success was accompanied by remarkable global progress, as the university ranked 166 out of 1,745 universities included in this year’s edition—despite the significant increase of more than 300 additional participating universities compared to last year He also highlighted the university’s outstanding performance in sustainability indicators, where it achieved first place in Iraq in both the Water Resources category and the Education & Research (ED) category.
