Under the generous patronage of Professor Dr. Hasan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and under the direct supervision of Professor Dr. Walaa Louay Al-Falluji, Dean of the College of Medicine, and within the framework of Al-Mustaqbal University’s pursuit to join the ranks of universities adopting international standards in medical education, two faculty members from the College of Medicine — Assistant Professor Dr. Hussein Naji and Dr. Zahraa Tareq Hassoun — participated in a specialized training workshop on the global standards issued by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME). The workshop was held over two days in Baghdad at Ashur College of Medicine, under the patronage of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The workshop was prepared and delivered by Dr. Amal Awad Al-Tarawneh, Director of Quality Assurance and Ranking, and Head of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Department for Medical Education Colleges at the Jordanian Accreditation and Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement Commission in Medical Education (AQACHEI). The workshop aimed to introduce the latest global standards, mechanisms for their implementation, and requirements for accreditation and quality assurance in medical education programs, contributing to raising academic standards and achieving educational outcomes in line with international best practices. The participation of the College of Medicine at Al-Mustaqbal University comes in line with the university presidency and college deanship’s vision to strengthen quality assurance and academic accreditation pathways, enhance faculty capabilities, and align with the requirements of modern medical education and recognized global standards — contributing to the development of medical education outputs and achieving institutional and academic excellence.
