Within the Sustainability and Diversity محور of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the College of Medicine at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific workshop entitled “The Role of Iraqi Women in Leading Change” on Monday, 9/2/2026, at the Student Activities Hall, with the attendance of faculty members and students. The workshop addressed the importance of empowering Iraqi women and enhancing their leadership role across various fields, particularly in the healthcare and academic sectors, while highlighting their effective contributions to achieving positive and sustainable change within society. The workshop also emphasized the role of education in supporting women’s potential and refining leadership and innovation skills among female students. The event featured a presentation of a number of distinguished success stories of female students from the College of Medicine, who showcased inspiring models of academic excellence, community initiatives, and research participation. These examples reflected creativity, ambition, and social responsibility, embodying the principles of sustainability and diversity that underpin Global Entrepreneurship Week. This workshop comes as part of the College of Medicine’s commitment to supporting activities that promote a culture of entrepreneurship and women’s empowerment, and to reinforcing the values of diversity and sustainability in order to prepare a generation capable of leading change and building a brighter future.
