On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, the College of General Medicine at Al-Mustaqbal University received a delegation from the Iraqi Academics Union in Babil, headed by Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Khafaji. He was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Roudan, Dean of the Faculty of Education, and Prof. Dr. Haider Abdul Hassan Al-Jabouri, a member of the union’s branch board of directors. The delegation was welcomed by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Walaa Luay Al-Falouji, along with several assistants and heads of scientific departments. The meeting focused on discussing ways to enhance academic cooperation between the union and the college, to support scientific progress, improve medical education, and develop the university environment for the benefit of both students and faculty members. The visiting delegation was briefed on the college’s educational and research capabilities. Discussions also addressed supporting faculty members and strengthening the role of academics in community service and the development of higher education institutions. At the end of the visit, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Khafaji expressed his appreciation for the high academic and organizational standards at Al-Mustaqbal University. He emphasized the importance of continued cooperation between academic and union institutions to achieve shared scientific objectives and further the advancement of higher education.
