Under the generous patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Walaa Luay Al-Falouji, the College of Medicine organized, as part of the activities of the Continuing Education Unit, a specialized scientific seminar titled “The Importance of Psychological and Educational Support in Training Doctors,” presented by faculty member Ms. Saba Sabah in the medical building’s lecture halls. The event was attended by a number of faculty members and medical students as part of the Dean’s Office’s ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of medical education and develop students’ skills on both the academic and humanistic levels. The seminar addressed the importance of psychological support in enabling medical students to adapt to academic and professional pressures and its role in promoting mental health and achieving balance during their years of study. It also focused on the educational dimension of training doctors through the development of effective communication skills, teamwork, and efficient and responsible clinical decision-making . In conclusion, all participants emphasized that preparing a successful physician is not limited to acquiring medical knowledge alone but requires a supportive educational environment that addresses psychological and educational aspects, thereby contributing to the graduation of medical professionals capable of providing comprehensive and distinguished healthcare.
