The College of Medicine at Al-Mustaqbal University participated on Saturday, April 11, 2026, in the fourth group round of the “Iraqi Universities Debate Competition,” under the patronage of the University President, Hassan Shaker Majdi, and with the direct supervision of the Dean of the College, Walaa Luay Al-Falluji, alongside Al-Mashriq and Samarra Universities. This participation comes ضمن the university’s commitment to supporting student activities and promoting a culture of academic excellence and constructive dialogue. This participation reflects the college’s orientation toward developing students’ skills beyond the traditional academic framework, while fostering a culture of meaningful discussion and respect for diverse opinions. The participation aimed to enhance students’ critical thinking and academic debate skills, strengthen their abilities in public speaking, and build well-structured scientific arguments, contributing to the preparation of competent medical professionals capable of effective expression and analytical thinking. The competition witnessed a distinguished presence from the college on two levels. Teaching Assistant Duaa Abdulhussein contributed actively as a member of the judging panel, while the student team delivered debates that demonstrated an advanced level of analysis, discussion, and adherence to academic debate principles. Among them was student Muntadhar Makki, who represented the college in an outstanding manner. The College Deanship affirmed that participation in such activities reflects its commitment to building well-rounded medical students both academically and intellectually, while opening broader horizons for academic engagement with Iraqi universities.
