The activities of the College of Medicine pavilion at Al-Mustaqbal University were launched on Sunday, April 12, 2026, as part of the first day of the “Fourth Al-Mustaqbal International Sustainability Week,” under the patronage and presence of the University President, Hassan Shaker Majdi, and with the direct supervision of the Dean of the College, Walaa Luay Al-Falluji. This comes within the framework of the college’s commitment to supporting sustainability concepts and enhancing the role of the healthcare sector in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The college’s participation in this international event reflects its vision of linking medical education with environmental and societal responsibility, emphasizing that medicine is a fundamental pillar within the broader sustainability system. The participation aimed to highlight the college’s contributions to the development of medical education and community service, as well as to promote awareness of sustainable healthcare through showcasing scientific outputs and applied projects developed by students and academic staff in the field of health and well-being. The pavilion featured a variety of exhibits and activities, including highlighting the theme of health and well-being, presenting student projects and their contributions to applied research and community initiatives, in addition to showcasing modern educational practices aimed at improving the efficiency of healthcare services in Iraq. The pavilion also witnessed an inspection tour by the University President, who reviewed key scientific outputs and emphasized that medicine is a cornerstone in achieving sustainable development goals. Meanwhile, the Dean of the College noted that the pavilion has become a prominent attraction for students and visitors due to its rich scientific and practical content that reflects the college’s mission. The college invites all faculty members, students, and interested individuals to visit its pavilion and participate in its activities to explore its contributions to achieving sustainable development goals and building a sustainable healthcare system that serves society.
