Faculty Member from the College of Medicine Participates with a Scientific Paper in the Second Legal Conference at Al-Mustaqbal University

Teaching Assistant Saba Sabah from the College of Medicine at Al-Mustaqbal University participated, as part of the activities of the Fourth Al-Mustaqbal International Sustainability Week, in the Second Legal Conference titled “Digital Transformations and Technological Developments and Their Impact on Contemporary Legislative Policies,” organized by the College of Law. The conference was held under the patronage of the University President, Hassan Shaker Majdi, and with the direct supervision of the Dean of the College, Walaa Luay Al-Falluji. Her participation included presenting a scientific paper entitled “Constitutional Human Rights in Light of Current Changes,” reflecting the college’s commitment to supporting scientific research and engaging in specialized conferences as a strategic priority. This participation embodies the college’s direction toward academic openness and strengthening interdisciplinary integration between medical and legal fields, highlighting the active role of faculty members in contributing to multidisciplinary scientific discussions addressing critical societal issues. The research aimed to analyze the current legislative framework and its ability to keep pace with digital transformations, while offering scientific insights that contribute to developing legislative policies that balance technological advancement with the protection of human rights. It also sought to enhance academic awareness of the importance of integrating the human dimension into modern digital legislation. The paper discussed contemporary dimensions of digital transformation and their impact on constitutional rights, particularly in light of the expanding use of artificial intelligence and the associated challenges related to data protection, privacy, and safeguarding fundamental rights. It also addressed the relationship between technological advancement and the healthcare sector, especially the impact of digital transformation on the quality of healthcare services and patients’ rights, underscoring the importance of integrating medical and legal sciences in addressing contemporary issues comprehensively. The College Deanship affirmed that supporting scientific research and participating in specialized conferences are among its strategic priorities, given their significant role in advancing academic knowledge, strengthening the university’s role in community service, and keeping pace with global developments.
