Al-Mustaqbal University Council Launches “Sustainability Charter” and Reviews International Achievements in Its Eighth Session

The Council of Al-Mustaqbal University held its eighth regular session for the current academic year, chaired by the University President, Hassan Shaker Majdi, and attended by all council members. The session addressed a number of academic and administrative matters and reviewed the university’s distinguished achievements at international forums, reflecting its growing academic progress at both local and global levels. Among the أبرز decisions of the session was the announcement of the launch of the “Al-Mustaqbal University Sustainability Charter,” a commitment document through which the university, including its staff and students, pledges to adopt green practices, support renewable energy, reduce carbon emissions, and integrate sustainable development concepts into curricula and research activities, positioning the university as a leading model locally and regionally. The University President expressed pride in the active participation during the Fourth Al-Mustaqbal International Sustainability Week, held from April 11 to 16, 2026, praising the conferences and scientific events organized throughout the week. The Council also highlighted the significant international attention the university received during its participation in the EURIE 2026 Eurasian Universities Summit in Istanbul, emphasizing that such engagement enhances the university’s global academic reputation. On the organizational level, the Council discussed several key issues, including logistical preparations for final and assessment examinations, ensuring the completion of academic curricula and annual assessments with precision, and following up on program accreditation for the university’s colleges to ensure compliance with ministerial standards. The Council also approved recommendations related to academic titles and promotions in accordance with official regulations. At the conclusion of the session, the Council emphasized the importance of summer and international training programs for students as part of the university’s vision to link academic outcomes with labor market needs and to develop practical skills in line with global standards, thereby preparing qualified graduates capable of meeting contemporary challenges.
