President of Al-Mustaqbal University Welcomes Student Delegation after Completing Joint Training Program at Mansoura University in Egypt

<br />As part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s policy of academic openness to Arab and international universities, a student delegation from the Colleges of Medicine and Engineering was sent to Mansoura University in the Arab Republic of Egypt. Following the delegation’s return and the completion of their short summer training program at Mansoura University, held from August 16 to 23, 2025, and within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the two universities, the students were warmly received by Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, along with the Deans of the Colleges: Assist. Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen, Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies; Prof. Dr. Walaa Al-Falluji, Dean of the College of Medicine; Prof. Dr. Ammar Al-Husseini, Dean of the College of Law; and Dr. Amin Kitab, the training supervisor.<br /><br />At the beginning of the reception, the University President extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University; Dr. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Dr. Marwa, Director of International Relations; and the distinguished faculty and staff of Mansoura University for their generous hospitality and warm welcome. The students praised the remarkable reception, expressing their deep appreciation for the fraternal and supportive ties between the two universities.<br /><br />The University President expressed his pride in the fruitful cooperation between the two institutions, affirming that such programs highlight the depth of historical and academic relations and strengthen the values of scientific and cultural collaboration between Iraq and Egypt. He stressed the importance of the students transferring the knowledge and experiences they gained to their peers, and of serving as ambassadors of Mansoura University within their own academic and social communities. He also praised the efforts made by Mansoura University, led by Dr. Sherif Khater, in making this initiative a valuable academic and cultural experience.<br /><br />The students described the training as a rich academic and research journey filled with knowledge exchange. Their program included scientific visits and specialized workshops at various centers, such as the Vertebrate Paleontology Center at the Faculty of Science, where they explored advanced research in fossils and archaeological discoveries, and “Entilaq” Communications Technology Company, where they were introduced to modern ICT solutions.<br /><br />They also visited advanced laboratories in biochemistry, anatomy, stem cell research, and medical sciences, gaining hands-on exposure to state-of-the-art equipment and research applications presented by academic staff and researchers. In addition, they toured specialized medical centers, including the Urology and Nephrology Center—one of the largest in the Middle East—and the Cardiothoracic Surgery and Vascular Center, where they observed modern medical practices and interacted directly with specialists.<br /><br />The program also included cultural and recreational activities, such as a visit to the permanent camp in Gamasa to learn about modern sports and health training infrastructure, as well as trips to Ras El-Bar and a city tour of Mansoura, enhancing cultural exchange between Iraqi and Egyptian students.<br /><br />Furthermore, the delegation participated in practical workshops on solar energy, artificial intelligence, telecommunications, and electrical circuits, equipping them with updated scientific knowledge and integrated research skills. They engaged in discussions with Egyptian students, eager to learn from one another’s experiences, and stressed that such programs strengthen their competitive edge and broaden their academic and professional horizons.<br /><br />The Deans, faculty supervisors, and student delegation extended their gratitude to Mansoura University’s administration, expressing joy at the cooperation and the valuable meetings held with its leadership, emphasizing the deep-rooted historical and cultural ties between the peoples of Iraq and Egypt.<br /><br />The delegation also affirmed that this initiative and training program reflect Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with leading Egyptian universities. They stressed that such programs serve as real bridges for building a conscious generation equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to face the challenges of the future.<br /><br />In his concluding remarks, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University affirmed that the program represents a powerful capacity-building tool, a valuable academic resource, and an effective means of enhancing knowledge exchange. He emphasized the importance of sustaining and expanding such initiatives to include more academic and training fields, thereby raising students’ academic standards and advancing research and development in both countries.<br /><br />The delegation concluded by commending the role of Mansoura University and the strong bonds that unite the two nations, wishing for continued cooperation that serves the interests of the entire Arab world.<br />Al-Mustaqbal University ranks first among private universities in Iraq.
