Al-Mustaqbal University Honors Its Faculty and Students Participating in the Medical Unit Serving Pilgrims of Imam Hussein’s (PBUH) Arbaeen

<br />Al-Mustaqbal University organized an appreciation ceremony to honor its faculty members and students who volunteered in the medical unit dedicated to serving the pilgrims of Imam Hussein’s (peace be upon him) Arbaeen. The event was attended by the University’s Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Abbas Al-Baawi, the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Walaa Al-Falluji, and the Scientific Assistant to the Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Prof. Dr. Ali Shakir Majdi.<br /><br />The ceremony opened with a speech by Dr. Abbas Al-Baawi, who expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the teaching staff and student volunteers for their exceptional efforts during the pilgrimage days. He stressed that such humanitarian initiatives reflect the spirit of giving and social responsibility that distinguishes the University’s students and staff. He also highlighted that these voluntary activities represent an extension of the scientific and humanitarian role of universities in serving society. Dr. Al-Baawi further commended the efforts of the University’s Administrative Affairs Department, which mobilized its staff and resources to clean the pilgrims’ routes and assist in transportation, noting that such logistical support contributed greatly to the success of the University’s voluntary service.<br /><br />In his speech, Prof. Dr. Ali Shakir Majdi affirmed that the participation of Al-Mustaqbal University’s students and staff in the medical unit is in harmony with the humanitarian principles championed by Imam Hussein (PBUH), which embody sacrifice, altruism, and service to others. He explained that the students’ field efforts in providing care to the pilgrims represent a practical application of these noble values and reflect the University’s enlightened mission in community service.<br /><br />At the conclusion of the ceremony, certificates of appreciation were distributed to the participants in recognition of their voluntary efforts and outstanding role in the success of this humanitarian service.<br /><br />Al-Mustaqbal University affirmed that such initiatives will remain among its top priorities to strengthen the integration between academic development and community service, wishing its students and staff continued success in their academic and professional journeys.<br />Al-Mustaqbal University ranks first among private universities in Iraq.
