Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and under the direct supervision of Prof. Dr. Walaa Luay Al-Falluji, Dean of the College of Medicine, the College of Medicine at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an online workshop on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, entitled “Faculty Performance Evaluation Mechanisms and Comprehensive Quality Standards.” The workshop was presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussein Naji Abdullah, Head of the Quality Assurance Unit at the college, with wide participation from the academic staff. The workshop commenced with an opening speech delivered by Prof. Dr. Walaa Luay Al-Falluji, Dean of the College of Medicine, who welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of the workshop in promoting a culture of quality and enhancing faculty performance in line with the university’s commitment to advancing academic and professional excellence. He also highlighted that applying comprehensive quality standards represents a fundamental pillar in achieving institutional distinction and ensuring high-quality education within the college. During the workshop, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussein Naji delivered a detailed presentation covering the principles and standards adopted for faculty performance evaluation, as well as the implementation mechanisms of the comprehensive quality system in the educational process. He also reviewed the academic and administrative performance indicators and explained the methods used for collecting and analyzing evaluation data, noting that the purpose of these mechanisms is continuous improvement and the enhancement of the academic work environment. The workshop also featured fruitful discussions among participants on the best methods for applying quality standards, as well as the challenges and proposed solutions for strengthening the academic performance system. At the conclusion of the workshop, the Dean stressed the importance of continuing to organize such developmental workshops and of fostering a sustainable culture of quality across all departments of the college, in pursuit of the vision of the College of Medicine and the Presidency of Al-Mustaqbal University toward academic and institutional excellence.
