Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and with the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Walaa Louay Al-Falluji, and in conjunction with the Anti-Drug Awareness Week, the College of Medicine organized a comprehensive awareness exhibition on the dangers of drugs and their health, psychological, and social impacts. The exhibition was attended by a visiting delegation from the Department of Research and Scientific Development at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, consisting of Dr. Bashar Mohammed Dhajr, Mr. Nizar Atta Abdul Sahib, and Ms. Ayat Mithaq, in addition to the Director of the Department of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances in Babylon, Brigadier Haider Hassoun. They toured the exhibition alongside the Dean of the College, reviewing the educational activities presented by students and faculty members. These activities included comprehensive presentations on the risks of addiction, types of drugs, methods of prevention, as well as awareness posters and scientific explanations aimed at raising students’ awareness. This activity comes as part of the university’s and the college’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to good health and well-being, quality education, and building a safe, crime-free community.
