Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and under the direct guidance of the Dean of the College of General Medicine, Prof. Walaa Luay Al-Falluji, and as part of the College of Nursing’s activities in the field of health awareness, Dr. Widad Hamza Shukair, a faculty member at the College of General Medicine, participated in the scientific workshop titled “Traditional Methods and Unsafe Practices Based on Folk Heritage in Treating Children in Iraq,” held on 2 December 2025. Dr. Widad’s participation comes within the efforts of the University Presidency and the College Deanery to promote health awareness among nursing and medical staff, in line with the third Sustainable Development Goal (Good Health and Well-Being). The workshop addressed the health risks associated with incorrect traditional practices and emphasized the importance of relying on safe, evidence-based medical approaches. At the end of the workshop, the Dean of the College of Nursing presented a certificate of appreciation to Dr. Widad in recognition of her active scientific contribution and her support for awareness activities within the university.
