Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of General Medicine, Prof. Dr. Waleed Louay Al-Falluji, the College of General Medicine organized a scientific workshop titled “Bleeding Disorders in Newborns,” presented by faculty member Dr. Widad Hamzah Shukir. The workshop addressed various topics, including an introduction to bleeding disorders that may affect newborns, their causes, associated clinical signs, early diagnostic methods, and the latest adopted treatment protocols. The aim was to enhance students’ medical awareness and strengthen their skills in managing such sensitive conditions. The workshop also emphasized the importance of early detection and proper therapeutic intervention to reduce complications that may impact the child’s health during the first days of life. At the conclusion of the workshop, the Dean commended the efforts made to enrich medical knowledge and develop professional expertise, highlighting the importance of continuing such scientific activities within the college.
