The College of Health and Medical Technologies (Department of Community Health Technologies) organized a scientific and cultural awareness campaign inside the college corridors on 24/1/2026, entitled (The Vaccine Against Stray Dog Bites), as part of the series of student activities carried out by the department and the college, with the aim of supporting and enhancing health culture in the individual and the community, and in pursuit of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, the third and fourth goals.
The campaign was implemented with the participation of the Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Aqeel Hanthal Al-Jawthari; Ms. Hawraa Thaer Amer; and Mr. Ameer Mahmoud Fadhil (Activity Officers), with the participation of a number of first-stage students.
This campaign aims to raise awareness among students and others about the necessity of taking vaccines quickly when exposed to bites and avoiding transmitted viruses.
The campaign also shed light on the role of the vaccine in protecting the nervous and immune systems and preventing the development of serious complications resulting from dog bites.
The campaign also highlights the importance of enhancing health awareness among university students, as they have a role in educating the community about the importance of taking vaccines and methods of disease prevention.
