The Department of Community Health Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a training workshop entitled “Blood Groups and Laboratory Methods for Their Determination.” The workshop was organized and supervised by Assist. Lecturer Russul Mushtaq on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the laboratories of Al-Mustaqbal University. The workshop aimed to enhance students’ scientific knowledge regarding blood groups and their significance in medical and healthcare fields, as well as to introduce the laboratory techniques used for blood group determination according to modern scientific methods. The event also included practical demonstrations on how laboratory tests for blood typing are performed, with clarification of the scientific principles behind antigen–antibody reactions. Several important topics were addressed during the workshop, including an introduction to the major blood group systems such as the ABO system and the Rh system, in addition to highlighting their importance in blood transfusion and medical diagnosis. The workshop witnessed active participation from students through discussions and questions, which contributed to strengthening their scientific and practical understanding. This workshop is part of a series of scientific and training activities organized by the Department of Community Health Technologies to develop students’ skills and enhance their practical competencies.
