Implementation of Government Directives Department of Community Health Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University Launches a Large-Scale Tree-Planting Campaign to Promote Environmental Sustainability In fulfillment of national and environmental responsibilities, and in accordance with the directives of the esteemed Office of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and under the direct supervision of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the Department of Community Health Technologies actively participated in a major tree-planting campaign within the university campus. This initiative comes as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to expand green spaces and to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 13: Climate Action. The campaign witnessed broad participation from faculty members and students of the department, who contributed to planting hundreds of seedlings and perennial trees throughout the university corridors and courtyards, with the aim of improving the campus environment and creating a healthier educational atmosphere. The college administration emphasized that the participation of the Department of Community Health Technologies reflects the close relationship between public health and the environment. Through such activities, the department seeks to instill the values of volunteerism among students and to promote environmental awareness as an essential component of its community mission. It is worth noting that Al-Mustaqbal University continues to lead environmental and agricultural initiatives among private universities, in response to the national afforestation initiative launched by the Iraqi government to address climate change.
