The Department of Community Health Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a distinguished awareness activity titled “Cervical Cancer and Its Prevention” on March 30 within the corridors of Al-Mustaqbal University. The activity aimed to address key questions, including who is responsible for promoting health awareness, what risks this disease entails, and when early screening should be conducted. It also provided simplified scientific details about the causes of cervical cancer and methods of prevention, such as regular screening, vaccination, and the importance of health education. The activity witnessed active participation from students, who contributed through questions and discussions that enriched the dialogue and deepened understanding. Furthermore, a comprehensive explanation of the symptoms of the disease and strategies to limit its spread was presented, reinforcing the role of educational institutions in promoting public health awareness among the community. The activity concluded by emphasizing the importance of continuing such initiatives due to their positive impact on protecting women’s health and society as a whole. Al-Mustaqbal University is the first university in Iraq.
