Short Review of the College of Engineering and Technology at Al-Mustaqbal University

College of Engineering and Technology at Al-Mustaqbal University was established in April 2023 according to the Ministerial Order No. T.H.A. / 5139, dated on 16th April 2023 after combining the Engineering & Technical Departments of Al-Mustaqbal University  where Study has started in these departments as per the Foundation Years included in the following table:

1- The Computer Techniques Engineering Department was established on 31/8/2010.

2- The Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Engineering Department was established on 31/8/2010 and was renamed to Mechanical Power Techniques Engineering Department with two branches (HVAC Branch, Power Branch)..

3- The Building and Construction Techniques Engineering Department was established in 2012.

4- The Medical Instrumentation Techniques Engineering Department was established on 8/12/2020.

5- The Communications Technology Engineering Department was established in 2023.

6- The Electrical Techniques Engineering Department was established in 2023.

7- The Fuel and Energy Techniques Engineering Department was established in 2023.

8- The Biomedical Engineering Department was established on 31/10/2016.

9- The Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering Department was established in 2023.

10- The Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Industries Department was established on 24/7/2017.

College Goals

The goals of College of Engineering and Technology can be summarized as follows:

1.	Creating an Educational Environment, which encourages for Critical Thinking and innovation in the various Majors of Engineering

2.	Providing Students with Knowledge & Skills that are required for solving Engineering & Technical problems, reinforcing meanwhile the required training on New Engineering Technologies.

3.	Promoting Scientific Research as well as Technological Development that shall lead to Innovation and Creativity in the various Fields of Engineering.

4.	Promoting Critical Thinking among Students, and encouraging them to develop Problem Solving Skills related to Engineering & Technical Issues.

5.	Creating Practical Learning and Training Opportunities to Students through Cooperation Programs with Industrial Institutions, Companies and other Organizations related to Engineering and Technical Fields.

6.	Enhancement of Cooperation and Communication between Students, Academics, Researchers, Communities and expertise in the Fields of Engineering Technology.
