Future University participates with distinction in the activities of the World Day of Babylonian Civilization.

AL-Mustaqbal University participated in the activities of the International Day of Babylonian Civilization, which kicked off in Babil Governorate on April 10. The event was attended by His Excellency the President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid; His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning, Dr. Mohammed Tamim; the Governor of Babil, Mr. Adnan Fayhan al-Dulaimi; and a number of political, diplomatic, cultural, and artistic figures. AL-Mustaqbal University pavilion at the festival was visited by His Excellency the President, who praised the university's reputation and academic excellence, commending its advanced rankings among private universities in local and international rankings. AL-Mustaqbal University pavilion witnessed a large turnout from local and international delegations. The pavilion featured a distinguished display of a collection of Babylonian antiquities, in collaboration with the Department of Archaeology at the College of Arts, which provided a documented scientific explanation of the symbols and artifacts on display, highlighting the cultural heritage of the city of Babylon. The pavilion also featured a display of the university's peer-reviewed scientific publications, reflecting the university's research and academic efforts in various fields, particularly those related to history, archaeology, and humanities. This reflects the university's pioneering scientific role in supporting cultural and heritage studies. This three-day event, the first of its kind in Iraq, includes specialized conferences on archaeology and investment, as well as exhibitions of flowers, traditional industries, folk crafts, and literary and cultural productions. This event embodies the cultural depth of Babylon and its historical role in serving humanity.

The Continuing Education Center at Al-Mustaqbal University promotes sustainable development goals through a field visit to Babylon Teaching Hospital for Women and Children.

As part of its commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, a delegation from the Continuing Education Center at Al-Mustaqbal University conducted a field visit to the Hematology Center at Babylon Teaching Hospital for Women and Children. The delegation consisted of Assistant Professor Reda Abdel-Ati Al-Fishawi, Director of the Continuing Education Center, along with Professor Abdul Ali Dakhel, Assistant Director of the Center, and a number of Continuing Education Center staff. During the visit, the delegation met with Dr. Muhannad Al-Suwaidi, Director of the Hospital, where they discussed future cooperation in the areas of training and health education. They also discussed providing psychological support to patients and ways to cope with blood diseases, as well as distributing gifts to sick children in a humanitarian gesture aimed at raising their morale and bringing joy to their hearts. The visit also included a tour of the hospital's departments, where health awareness was promoted among patients and staff. This visit is part of Al-Mustaqbal University's initiatives to enhance its community role and activate partnerships with healthcare institutions in line with its humanitarian and educational mission. The Center Director also presented the training and development programs offered by the Continuing Education Center at Al-Mustaqbal University, which will enhance joint cooperation between the university and the hospital. Dr. Murtadha Ahmed, Head of the Medical Education Center at the hospital, praised the important role of these initiatives. Dr. Kawthar Madani, Head of Education and Citizen Affairs, emphasized the importance of ongoing cooperation between educational and healthcare providers. At the conclusion of the visit, the hospital director expressed his deep gratitude to Al-Mustaqbal University for this humanitarian initiative, commending its significant role in supporting patients and fostering sustainable collaboration with healthcare institutions.

To achieve the goals of sustainable development, a scientific symposium entitled “Sustainable Development Rules for the Protection of Women in the Iraqi Labor Law”

Under the patronage of Professor Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, a dialogue seminar titled "Sustainable Development Rules for the Protection of Women in Iraqi Labor Law" was held in cooperation with the College of Law. The seminar was delivered by Asst. Dr. Ali Jassim Al-Saadi, with the attendance of a select group of college professors and students. The seminar addressed the principles of sustainable development as a comprehensive framework aimed at achieving social justice, economic growth, and environmental protection. Among the most prominent manifestations of these principles in the field of work is that related to the empowerment and protection of women in the labor market, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 5 (Gender Equality) and Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Building Strong Institutions). The seminar also addressed the most prominent challenges. The seminar was attended by Asst. M. Ammar Yousef Khudair, a member of the College of Law s liaison with the Center for Continuing Education, and Professor Ali Mahdi Saleh, representing the Center for Continuing Education.

"The Consequences of Natural Gas Flaring and Its Impact on the Iraqi Economy" A dialogue seminar in cooperation with the Faculty of Law at Al-Mustaqbal University

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Hassan Shaker Magdy, a dialogue seminar entitled "The Consequences of Natural Gas Flaring and Its Impact on the Iraqi Economy" was held in cooperation with the College of Law. The seminar was delivered by Asst. Ammar Yousef Khudair, and attended by Professor Ali Mahdi Saleh, representing the Center for Continuing Education, and a select group of college professors and students. The seminar addressed the negative effects of the phenomenon of flaring gas associated with oil extraction operations, the resulting significant annual economic losses, and its environmental and health repercussions. The lecturer explained that this phenomenon represents a waste of a national resource that could have been used to generate energy or export it to support the national economy.

In cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education, the Faculty of Fine Arts - Department of Art Education at Al-Mustaqbal University hosted Dr. Alaa Najm to give a lecture on the role of art in society.

Dr. Alaa Najm from the University of Baghdad was invited to give a lecture on "The Role of Art in Society." This event was organized in collaboration with the Center for Continuing Education and was co-organized by instructors Hussein Lutfi and Miad Abboud from the Department of Art Education. This activity was organized as part of cultural activities aimed at promoting academic and artistic interaction between universities. The event began with a distinguished theatrical performance by students from the College of Art Education, under our supervision, highlighting important social issues. Dr. Alaa Najm then delivered her lecture, which addressed the impact of art on society. She highlighted how it can be used as a tool for social change, the importance of art in addressing societal issues, and the importance of stimulating critical thinking among individuals. Following the lecture, the audience, including professors and students, engaged in lively discussions about television productions that reflect the reality of society and their impact on changing prevailing concepts and working toward a better future. This activity was part of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly the fourth goal related to providing quality education. This type of activity contributes to raising artistic and cultural awareness among students and professors, promoting sustainable development in society. Announcement of an electronic seminar on self-marketing

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Continuing Education Center/Al-Mustaqbal University announces an electronic seminar for Future University students entitled "Self-Marketing: CV Writing Skills for University Students" and honoring the top three on the sidelines of the third periodic festival of the Future Sustainability Week. The seminar will be delivered by Dr. Muhammad Kazim Rahma, a lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering/Computer Technology Engineering, and moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Reda Abdel-Aat El-Fishawy, Director of the Continuing Education Center. The seminar will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 8:00 PM.

The Assistant Director of the Continuing Education Center receives a specialization certificate in artificial intelligence from the Coursera platform.

Professor Abdul Ali Dakhel, Assistant Director of the Continuing Education Center, received a specialization certificate in artificial intelligence from the Coursera platform, provided by IBM. The program included an in-depth study of artificial intelligence concepts and the learning of modern tools and techniques, including machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing, along with practical applications using Python and advanced frameworks. This achievement reflects the Center s staff s commitment to developing their technical skills and keeping pace with global developments in the fields of technology and artificial intelligence.
