Launch of the Al-Mustaqbal Forum for Community Partnerships at Al-Mustaqbal University

Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the activities of the "Al-Mustaqbal Forum for Civil Society Organizations and the Private Sector" were launched on the morning of Sunday, April 20, 2025. The event took place as part of the fourth day of the Third International Future Sustainability Week Festival. Dialogue Sessions Open Innovation Horizons at the Al-Mustaqbal Forum for Community Partnerships

As part of the Al-Mustaqbal Forum for Civil Society Organizations and the Private Sector, held at Al-Mustaqbal University within the events of the Third International Al-Mustaqbal Sustainability Week Festival, two insightful dialogue sessions were organized with the participation of representatives from several Iraqi universities, private sector companies, and civil society organizations, along with the active presence of the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications team. The first session focused on enhancing innovation in production and service sectors, emphasizing responsible digital transformation and the green economy, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially through leveraging technology and artificial intelligence to support sustainable growth. The second session shed light on the role of civil society organizations in development. Discussions addressed strategies for community empowerment, mechanisms to support volunteer campaigns, and the facilitation of regulatory procedures. Cultural and Educational Activities at the Future Forum Enhance Sustainability Concepts

As part of the Future Forum for Civil Society Organizations and the Private Sector, one of the events on the fourth day of the "Third International Future Week for Sustainability," Al-Mustaqbal University hosted a series of cultural and educational activities that reflect the university's commitment to instilling sustainability concepts through arts and education. The activities included: A traditional fashion show inspired by local folk culture, highlighting the diverse cultural identity of Iraqi society. Singing performances by university students, expressing cultural diversity and national unity. Interactive educational activities for primary school students, designed in simple ways to instill sustainability concepts in the minds of the new generation. Purposeful student plays that highlighted the importance of the individual and society in supporting sustainable development goals, emphasizing environmental and social awareness for building a better future. These activities align with Al-Mustaqbal University's approach to enhance the cultural and educational dimension of sustainable development goals, in harmony with Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), reaffirming the university’s role in supporting comprehensive awareness and educational initiatives. Al-Mustaqbal University Hosts Innovation Exhibition in Renewable Energy and Artificial Intelligence as Part of the Third International Future Sustainability Week

On Saturday, April 19, 2025, Al-Mustaqbal University witnessed one of the most prominent scientific and technological events as part of the Third International Future Sustainability Week Festival, with the grand opening of the Innovation Exhibition in Renewable Energy and Artificial Intelligence. The event was attended by the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, along with a number of distinguished academic and official figures, including Prof. Dr. Adnan Al-Jumaili (Administrative Deputy Minister of Higher Education), Prof. Dr. Ali Maseer (President of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate), Dr. Fadel Al-Badran (Deputy Minister of Culture), and Prof. Dr. Mithaak Al-Jubouri (Administrative Assistant at the University of Babylon). In alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG 7), the Solar and Renewable Energy Exhibition was launched at the Center for Energy Research, where Asst. Solar-powered robots capable of performing service-related tasks. Smart climate data analytics for predicting energy consumption patterns and optimizing usage. Predictive maintenance models for energy systems based on AI to minimize breakdowns and enhance efficiency. These contributions garnered significant attention and praise from attendees due to their direct impact on advancing innovation and sustainable technologies, reaffirming Al-Mustaqbal University’s status as a leading institution that merges education, scientific research, and practical responses to sustainable development challenges.
