Receiving Computer Engineering Technology Students at Al-mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications

The Al-mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications at Al-Mustaqbal University welcomed a group of students from the Department of Computer Engineering Technology, as part of an official visit coordinated with the Deanship of the College of Engineering Technologies. During the visit, Eng. Hasnain Taha Shaalan, a member of the Center’s staff, delivered an introductory session in which he presented several innovative projects developed in the laboratory. He explained their design stages, programming methods, and the technologies used in building them, aiming to strengthen the students’ practical skills and enhance their understanding of artificial intelligence applications. Al-Mustaqbal University Explores the Development of Engineering and Technology Programs for the Academic Year 2025–2026

As part of its strategic vision to enhance academic performance and strengthen institutional communication, Al-Mustaqbal University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, held an extensive meeting with faculty members from the Colleges of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, along with directors of the university’s research centers. The meeting was characterized by a professional and transparent atmosphere. The discussion covered the current status of academic and administrative performance, the progress of scientific research activities, and the achievements recorded since the beginning of the 2025–2026 academic year. The meeting also addressed future plans aimed at developing academic programs and elevating scientific standards. At the beginning of his remarks, the University President emphasized the importance of adhering to professional standards within the colleges. He called for increased participation in scientific and community events, as well as engaging students as key partners in achieving the university’s mission. He also highlighted the need to capitalize on the university’s international partnerships with reputable academic institutions around the world, noting their role in supporting faculty and student exchange programs, enhancing training opportunities, building capacities, and organizing conferences and scientific workshops. Furthermore, he reaffirmed the university’s commitment to achieving program accreditation by meeting national and international quality standards. The meeting also addressed the significance of strengthening practical training in laboratories and completing curricular requirements in a way that enhances students’ competitiveness in the job market. The University President stressed the importance of developing the college websites as key platforms that reflect academic quality and serve as gateways to the global academic community. During the meeting, deans and research center directors presented their achievements and future plans. In his address, Prof. Dr. Nidhall Khudair Al-Abbadi reviewed the accomplishments of the Future Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications, highlighting the center’s progress in supporting innovative research projects, providing advanced training environments for students, organizing specialized programs in AI, data analysis, and intelligent systems, and participating in national initiatives. He also noted the center’s role in supervising students’ graduation projects and offering workshops and training courses that enhance students’ technical and research skills. Additionally, the Administrative Assistant to the University President, Prof. Dr. Munther Al-Dulaimi, outlined administrative guidelines related to attendance, salaries, appointments, and the staffing and logistical needs of the academic departments. Scientific Lecture at the Artificial Intelligence Center on Central Air-Conditioning System Design

The Artificial Intelligence Center hosted a specialized scientific lecture titled “Design of a Central Air-Conditioning System,” delivered by Prof. Essam Mujbil, a consultant in HVAC and a faculty member at the College of Engineering, University of Babylon. The lecture was held under the supervision of Prof. Qusay Rasheed Abdul Ameer, Head of the Power Mechanics Engineering Technologies Department. It covered the latest scientific approaches in designing central air-conditioning systems, in addition to discussing modern engineering applications in ventilation and cooling. Sustained Achievements… Al-Mustaqbal University among Iraq’s Leading Universities in the 2026 Arab Times Ranking

Al-Mustaqbal University continues to consolidate its leading position within the higher education system after achieving a new academic milestone for the third consecutive year by being included in the Times Higher Education Arab University Rankings 2026, ranking among the top group of Iraqi universities. Al-Mustaqbal University secured joint third place nationally in Iraq out of 58 Iraqi universities listed in the ranking, and was placed within the (100–125) band regionally, becoming one of only four Iraqi universities to reach this advanced category. The 2026 ranking included 268 universities from 18 Arab countries. The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, stated in a remark to the University Media that achieving this position for the third consecutive year in the Arab Times ranking reflects the strength of the university’s institutional performance and the coherence of its strategy in enhancing the quality of education, promoting scientific research, and supporting academic internationalization. He added that this continuous progress is the result of sustained investment in developing colleges and research centers, providing an innovation-driven academic environment, and expanding scientific partnerships with reputable international universities and institutions. For his part, the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, explained that maintaining Al-Mustaqbal University’s advanced standing nationally and regionally reflects years of diligent work aimed at strengthening scientific publishing, expanding joint research projects, and developing international cooperation programs, in addition to improving research infrastructure, which has significantly enhanced the university’s indicators in global rankings. Prof. Dr. Nidhal Khdhair Al-Abbadi, Director of Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications at Al-Mustaqbal University, received on Saturday, 22 November 2025, a delegation from the College of Medical and Health Technology to explore prospects for joint cooperation. During the visit, both sides discussed the possibility of implementing a joint research project in the field of medical technology, based on advanced artificial intelligence and digital transformation techniques, in a way that contributes to developing innovative solutions that support the academic environment and the healthcare sector. Maintenance of AI Center Robots in the Registration Department

Periodic maintenance has been completed at the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications at Al-Mustaqbal University for the robots designated to serve students in the Registration Department. The maintenance was carried out by engineers: Mohammed Saad Abees Hussain Taha Shalan The maintenance work included updating software systems, inspecting sensors, and enhancing interaction performance with students to ensure faster and more accurate service, in line with the university’s vision for digital transformation and the adoption of smart technologies within the campus environment. The center continues its efforts to develop intelligent systems and provide advanced technical solutions that improve university services and enrich the student experience.
