Solar energy systems satisfy citizens and reduce dependence on generators.

The Al-Mustaqbal Center conducted a field survey of citizens opinions regarding the use of solar energy systems and their benefits in daily life, as part of its ongoing efforts to promote a culture of renewable energy and encourage its use in society 🗣💡 *The results showed a positive response and wide interaction from people, as many participants expressed great admiration for the solar systems, affirming that they have effectively contributed to reducing reliance on electric generators, providing energy in a stable and safe manner, while reducing monthly costs and frequent outage periods.* *Some also indicated that this technology is an important step toward a more sustainable Al-Mustaqbal, calling for support of awareness initiatives and the expansion of installing residential and commercial systems in various regions of Iraq.* *This activity comes within the Center s vision to strengthen the relationship between the local community and alternative energy projects, and to affirm its educational role in building a conscious environment that adopts smart and sustainable solutions

Summer training students on a field trip to see the solar systems installed within the university.

As part of the ongoing summer training activities at the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Energy Research, the center organized a field tour for engineering students to observe the solar energy systems installed within the university, with the aim of linking theoretical knowledge to direct practical application.** During the tour, the students learned about the details of how the solar systems operate, including installation methods, panel distribution, electrical connection systems, and load management techniques. Additionally, there was an on-site explanation of the performance of inverters and batteries within the actual working environment. The tour witnessed significant engagement from the students, who expressed their interest in the components of the system and benefited from the detailed explanations provided by the center s engineering staff. This contributed to expanding their technical understanding of renewable energy projects and how they are implemented on the ground. Director of the Al-Mustaqbal Center, Prof. Dr. Salwan Obaid Wahid, gives a specialized lecture on energy concepts and solar panel capacity measurement devices.

As part of the summer training activities held at the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Energy Research, Prof. Dr. Sulwan Ubaid Waheed – Director of the Center – delivered a valuable scientific lecture that focused on the fundamental concepts of energy and its importance for the present and future of Iraq, with a particular emphasis on renewable energy sources, especially solar energy. During the lecture, he provided a detailed explanation of the devices used to measure the performance and capacity of solar panels, voltage and current measuring instruments, and tools for analyzing efficiency under different solar radiation conditions. He clarified the working mechanisms of each device and their significance in evaluating the quality of solar systems during installation and after operation. The lecture was distinguished by a practical, real-world component that encouraged student interaction and questions. It also helped enhance their hands-on understanding of how to test solar panels and determine their production capacity, directly connecting them with the tools and concepts engineers need in the job market. Engineering students on a tour of the Al-Mustaqbal Center as part of their summer training activities.

As part of the ongoing summer training activities at the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Energy Research, an introductory field tour was organized inside the Center for engineering students participating in the program, with the aim of providing direct exposure to the technical equipment and tools used in renewable energy systems.** During the tour, the Center’s staff provided students with a detailed explanation of the available systems and technical devices, including: various types of inverters, different batteries, charge controllers, monitoring systems, and grid-tied systems, along with a breakdown of the operation, functionality, and maintenance procedures for each device. 🗣 This tour aimed to strengthen the practical side of student training and link theoretical lectures to real-world applications. It also offered students the opportunity to interact directly with the equipment and ask questions regarding its components and functions. These activities aim to sharpen students’ skills and broaden their practical understanding of the solar energy field, thereby enhancing their future opportunities in the engineering job market in Iraq.

The program included a theoretical lecture explaining the engineering fundamentals of HVAC systems, followed by direct practical application on design models and blueprints using engineering software. Additionally, real models of system components such as cooling devices, compressors, and ventilation units were presented. A group of professors and specialists in refrigeration and air conditioning engineering participated in these activities, ensuring students were engaged in practical discussions and real-life scenario analyses, enhancing their critical thinking skills and teamwork.
