Al-Mustaqbal University Gears Up for the Future Week for Sustainability 2025

Al-Mustaqbal University is actively preparing for the third edition of the Future Week for Sustainability, set to take place in mid-April 2025. University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, held extensive meetings with academic and administrative leaders to oversee the final preparations. The festival will feature scientific conferences, workshops, and academic forums, along with exhibitions and student-led initiatives, in collaboration with local and international universities. The University President emphasized the importance of engaging students, fostering research excellence, and strengthening academic collaboration, while also stressing the need to monitor teaching and examinations to ensure educational quality. The meetings also reviewed the university’s research progress, academic rankings, international partnerships, and sustainability initiatives.

Quality Assurance Department Organizes a Workshop on Laboratory Classification Based on Risk Levels

The Quality Assurance and University Performance Department at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a workshop titled “Laboratory Classification Based on Risk Levels,” with the participation of quality officers, laboratory supervisors, and lab assistants, aiming to enhance safety standards in educational laboratories. The workshop covered mechanisms for classifying laboratories based on the risk levels of the materials used, risk mitigation procedures, and the impact of laboratory incidents. It also emphasized the importance of adhering to specialized protocols, using personal protective equipment, and training on first aid procedures. This workshop is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to improve laboratory quality, promote a culture of safety, and implement the highest international standards.

University of Al-Mustaqbal Participates in ISLM 2025 International Conference

As part of its commitment to enhancing education quality and achieving academic excellence, University of Al-Mustaqbal actively participated in the 1st International Sustainability Leaders Meeting (ISLM 2025), organized by UI GreenMetric and hosted by Abu Dhabi University from February 26-27, 2025. Notably, it was the only Iraqi university represented at this prestigious event. The university was represented by the Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Department, who engaged in discussions with leading academics and experts on institutional performance enhancement, fostering research collaborations, and improving the university’s global rankings. The participation also included insights into the success stories of top-ranking universities and visits to Abu Dhabi University’s laboratories to explore best academic practices. The Quality Assurance Department at Al-Mustaqbal University Participates in a Training Workshop on Education Quality Assurance under the Bologna Process

As part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to enhancing the competencies of its staff and keeping pace with the latest international standards in quality assurance and academic accreditation, a delegation from the Quality Assurance Department participated in a training workshop organized by the Department of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The workshop focused on the mechanisms for implementing the Bologna Process in Iraqi universities and its role in improving the quality of higher education and aligning its outcomes with labor market needs. The Bologna Process is a globally recognized educational framework aimed at harmonizing higher education systems and enhancing international recognition of academic degrees, thereby providing students with greater mobility opportunities among universities worldwide. It also emphasizes practical and applied skills development. The workshop covered several key topics, including: ✔️ Principles of quality assurance under the Bologna Process. ✔️ Academic performance indicators and implementation mechanisms. ✔️ The future vision of the Bologna Process in Iraq. ✔️ Performance evaluation based on modern standards. ✔️ Preparing reports on education quality assurance. A Member of the Quality Assurance Department at Al-Mustaqbal University Participates in the 8th International Scientific Conference at Al-Mustansiriyah University

Researcher Sama Safaa Mousa, a member of the Quality Assurance Department at Al-Mustaqbal University, participated in the 8th International Scientific Conference organized by the College of Administration and Economics at Al-Mustansiriyah University, with the participation of a distinguished group of researchers and academics from various Iraqi universities. During the conference, Sama Safaa Mousa presented two scientific papers. The first, titled “Artificial Intelligence and Its Impact on Talent Management,” explored the role of intelligent technologies in enhancing human resource management strategies and improving work environments through digital analysis and effective decision-making. The second paper, titled “The Role of Digital Leadership in Reducing Quiet Quitting Among Employees of the Iraqi National Bank,” examined the impact of digital leadership styles in enhancing employee engagement and mitigating quiet quitting by improving the work environment and supporting employees. This participation underscores Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to supporting scientific research and strengthening the role of its staff in addressing contemporary administrative and economic issues, contributing to the development of work environments and achieving institutional sustainability
